Free People Falling Love Jeans Embroidery Animations

Commissioned and Animated July-August 2025

Free People reached out to me with the project of bringing their embroidered ‘Falling Love’ jeans to life with some animated embellishments. I created three ten second animations spotlighting some of the embroidered and crocheted details on the pants, which were combined into the above piece, showcased on Free People’s social media pages. They gave me a lot of freedom in terms of what I wanted to add to the denim to create the animations, so I experimented with a scale of realistic-to-figurative elements, including a new-to-me method of appliqué embroidery, used with the bee segments.
