AMERSA Conference Pin + Shirt

Designed May 2025

I was commissioned by AMERSA (Association for Medical Education and Research in Substance Abuse) to design a logo and messaging for the t-shirt (left) and enamel pin (right) that they will be selling at their annual conference in November 2025. I was tasked with developing a message that communicates resistance to the current political environment that scorns research and facts in order to advance an anti-science, inhumane agenda, while packaging that message in a way that health care workers can still adorn their scrubs and lanyards with that message. This is especially important in the field of substance abuse treatment, in which stigmas surrounding the field constantly threaten to override best practices for patient care. The team at AMERSA and I settled on the simple but effective message of “Evidence Still Matters,” which I bolstered with details on the shirt that are reminiscent of a ruler, as a form of objective measurement.
