Set and Reset — Costumes

Reed College Dance Department, as part of its Spring Dance Concert 2026, restaged Trisha Brown's epochal 1983 piece Set and Reset. As part of this performance, I was asked to help create the costumes the dancers would be wearing, which would make use of photographs provided by the dancers themselves. I silkscreened these photographs, featuring different textures that the dancers experienced in their day-to-day lives, all over the dancers' transparent sheer costumes. 

In order to document the costumes, I created a stop-motion animation of the shirts revolving around a mirrored stage, in order to get a full 360-degree view of the layers of prints.
